EuroBoosTEX and Schneider Group join forces to accelerate textile innovation between Europe and Australia

Apr 2, 2025 | General

EuroBoosTEX is proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with G. Schneider SpA, a global leader in sourcing, processing, and supplying high-quality wool, cashmere, vicuna, and other precious animal fibres. This partnership marks a major milestone in EuroBoosTEX’s mission to accelerate the green and digital transformation of the European textile sector and strengthen the resilience of European value chains.

Through this partnership, EuroBoosTEX and Schneider Group will collaborate on advancing the global competitiveness of European textile companies while promoting sustainability and digitalization within the sector.

A Partnership Focused on Global Growth and Innovation

The collaboration between EuroBoosTEX and Schneider Group focuses on several key objectives:

  • Market Expansion: EuroBoosTEX will support SMEs in exploring new market opportunities, particularly in Australia, by providing tools like the International Boost Voucher. This initiative will offer SMEs access to trusted partners, go-to-market strategies, and potential business deals.
  • Technology and Innovation: Together, EuroBoosTEX and Schneider Group will explore the feasibility of plasma technology for processing wool and the development of traceability solutions to enhance sustainability in textile production.
  • Strengthening Global Value Chains: The partnership will help create and reinforce global value chains, facilitating the exchange of knowledge, technology, and best practices across the textile sector.

The partnership also supports the broader goal of the EuroBoosTEX project to strengthen EU textile ecosystems, promote internationalization, and drive the twin green and digital transition of European industries.

From meeting facilitation to financial support: EuroBoosTEX, an initiative to facilitate European SMEs internationalisation projects to Australia

EuroBoosTEX is a cascade funding program that has launched three calls for proposals. While the first two calls were designed to support European textile SMEs in their innovation and adaptation processes, the third was specifically dedicated to the Australian market. Despite being over 10,000 km from the EU, Australia’s strategic location and business culture make it a promising market for internationalizing textile-related activities.

The objective of this call was to help European textile SMEs explore and strengthen market opportunities by organizing an exploratory mission to Australia. Open from May to July 2024, the call awarded a lump-sum grant of €12,000 to each of the 15 selected SMEs.

In November 2024, EuroBoosTEX partners carried out a preliminary exploratory mission to Australia in order to meet key partners, industry leaders, research facilities, textile institutes and clusters, among which figured the Schneider Group.

Enclosed photos represent the meeting between Schneider and EuroBoosTEX partners in Sydney on Nov 5th 2024.

In the first half of 2025, the 15 beneficiaries are undertaking their exploratory missions in Australia. Experience-sharing and feedback sessions are planned after the missions to maximise insights and impact to be published       .
