xBUILD-EU aims to build an EU strategic partnership focused on cross-sectoral collaboration and cross-fertilization across textile, construction and advanced technologies to support the deployment of the New Industrial Strategy for Europe with focus on synergies and cross-cutting aspects between textile and construction using advanced technologies as catalyst to deploy green solutions and a more digital Europe. xBUILD-EU will enable building safer and high performing materials, more energy efficient and green using sustainable textile materials and cross-fertilizing. The activities will boost circular economy between construction and textile, eco designed, and connected using smart textiles and advanced technologies.
The project will promote building up resilience with a diverse lump sum vouchers of 1.05M€ to foster SME resilience via green and digital transitions, innovation and internationalization that will generate growth opportunities globally. It is also aligned with the five key objectives of the Joint Clusters Initiatives for Europe’s recovery program.
Coordinated by AEi Tèxtils in Catalonia, the xBUILD-EU association integrates 4 additional clusters: ATEVAL in Valencia, the Portuguese Textile Cluster CITEVE, IDEAM/TUS in Ireland and SGG/CCS in Slovenia.
